	In order to consider your application for the Industrial
Lectureship we need a course description in the style of the
Stanford catalog, because we intend to include the descriptions of
the industrial lectureship courses in the catalog for 1983-84,
copy for which is due early in February.  Enclosed is a copy
of the computer science offerings.  You will see that there is
considerable variation in the styles used.
